Qualification Training for the 16PF® Questionnaire

The first course in our series of training workshops addresses the education needs of individuals who seek qualification to use Level HR-2 assessments, including the 16PF Questionnaire, a powerful instrument that can be used in selection, development, coaching, and counseling applications.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for Human Resource, Organizational Development, and Training Professionals; Consultants; Early-career Psychologists; and others who are either new to assessment, unfamiliar with the 16PF Questionnaire, or who do not currently meet the requirements to purchase and use Level HR-2 assessments.

Learning Objectives

Attendees will gain the basic psychometric and measurement knowledge they need to appropriately interpret 16PF results and provide feedback to their clients and/or employees. Attendees will also learn the basics of the 16PF Questionnaire, including the theory and research that drives the assessment, an understanding of the 16PF Primary and Global Factors, and the psychometric properties of the instrument. Individuals will also have the opportunity to practice interpreting 16PF profiles and using a range of 16PF reports for different applications. The course consists of exercises, group work, and presentations covering the major knowledge areas required for Level HR-2 Qualification. Upon successful completion of the course (including an exam), attendees will:

  • Understand the fundamental psychometric properties of a professionally-designed asessment
  • Be able to explain the appropriate uses of assessments
  • Develop a working knowledge of the legal and professional guidelines for assessments in business
  • Know the basic ways to describe an assessment data set and how to judge assessment results
  • Develop a general understanding of the personality theory underlying the 16PF Questionnaire
  • Understand the psychometric properties of the 16PF Questionnaire
  • Be able to explain and interpret individual 16PF scale results
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in giving assessment feedback
  • Understand the appropriate uses of selected 16PF reports

Continuing Education

This two-day workshop is worth 12 CE credit hours.

IPAT is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IPAT is also an approved sponsor of continuing education by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), and the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). In addition, the National Career Development Association (NCDA) recognizes and accepts these NBCC-approved CE credits. IPAT maintains responsibility for this program and all content.
