OPP Psychologist to Present at 2010 SIOP Conference

December, 2009

In addition to Dr. Robert McHenry's participation in a panel discussion at the 2010 SIOP Conference, Rob Bailey, Occupational Psychologist and Managing Consultant, Research and Development, at OPP Ltd. will participate in the following symposium at the SIOP Conference in April.

Restructuring Organizations: Multiple and Multi-disciplinary Perspectives

The current economy has resulted in an unfortunate resurgence in organizational restructuring and related activity (e.g., layoffs). Such events need to be handled carefully to ensure that fair, consistent processes are used, that assessments used in such processes are appropriate for the situation, and that legal issues are addressed. These considerations are important for both the unfortunate victims of such events as well as those who remain to maintain their morale and productivity. Methodology, assessment guidelines, and legal considerations will be addressed.

The date and time for this symposium will be announced at a later date.

The 2010 SIOP Conference will be held from April 8-10 at the Atlanta Hilton. For additional conference information, please visit the SIOP website.
