Illinois Prosecutors Tap Into IPAT Expertise
June, 2009
Prosecutors from the Illinois Attorney General office, along with faculty and students from John Marshall Law School attended training sponsored by the Adler School of Professional Psychology on June 23. Working with Psychology Experts in the Courtroom was the theme of the day's workshop which included presentations and panel discussions designed to explore how psychologists could be useful in legal proceedings.
IPAT's Chief Psychologist, Public Safety & Security Services, Stephen P. Griffin, was invited to participate in a panel presentation and discussion. Dr. Griffin spoke on various aspects of forensic psychology, tests often used for forensic applications, and the role a psychologist plays when called upon by the legal and criminal justice system. |
