Research Assistance Program Terms and Conditions

Thank you for you interest in using one of IPAT’s assessments in your research. Please E-mail your proposal attached as a Microsoft Word® Document to rd@ipat.com.

Research assistance proposals should include all of the information specified in the guidelines below. Proposals that do not conform the guidelines will be returned for resubmission. By submitting a research proposal the researcher agrees to abide by the IPAT Research Assistance Program Terms and Conditions specified below. Proposals will be reviewed, in part, for alignment with IPAT’s current research focus.

IPAT Research Assistance Program Terms and Conditions

  1. Research assistance is provided for approved projects only. Requests must be submitted according to the guidelines above. Requests in any other form (e.g., thesis or dissertation chapters) will be returned for resubmission.
  2. The primary researcher must either be qualified to purchase the requested materials, or directly supervised by a qualified researcher. The primary researcher (and the supervisor, if applicable) must complete and return to IPAT a User Registration Form along with the Research Assistance Request form. Both forms must be submitted before the research assistance request will be processed.
  3. If the research assistance request is approved, you will receive a Research Assistance Request Notification via email. This notification will specify the discounted price you will receive for the approved IPAT materials and services for your research project. Orders for testing materials and services may be made by phone, mail, or fax.
  4. In return for research assistance, the researcher will provide IPAT with data and a copy of a formal written report of the results of the research project within 24 months of the notification. IPAT may include the report results in IPAT publications, including placing the abstract or summary on IPAT's website. IPAT may include the data in analyses that are performed to support the validity of IPAT's products. The data may be published, in aggregate form, to provide researchers and other professionals with information about the product. IPAT will ensure that names and ID numbers will be stripped from the data before they are used in analyses. In addition, no individual person from the data will ever be identified in publications. Acknowledgement for use of the data will be given to the data provider, if requested by the data provider.
  5. Research assistance is available for one (1) year from the date of notification. If an extension to the agreement is required, the researcher must submit a written request to rd@ipat.com. These requests will be considered on an individual basis.
  6. While conducting the research project, the qualifying researcher will be billed at a discount off the current catalog price(s), as specified in the notification. If a formal report of the results and data have not been received by IPAT within 24 months of the date of notification (unless an extension has been granted), the researcher will be billed for the full current catalog price of the materials and/or services that were provided through the Research Assistance Program.
  7. By completing and submitting the Research Assistance Request form, you are agreeing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions herein, and certifying that the information provided by you is accurate. You further certify that the IPAT materials and/or services that are requested will only be used for the research project described above.
