Robin Inwald

Robin InwaldDr. Robin Inwald is the author of the well-respected Inwald Personality Inventory (IPI), the first broad-based, employment-related personality inventory focusing on behavioral admissions of antisocial patterns.

Dr. Inwald founded Hilson Research, Inc. in 1980 and served as director until IPAT's acquisition of Hilson Research in 2007. She now provides consultation services for IPAT in addition to operating Inwald Research, Inc. which provides couple's testing, relationship coaching, and trauma and anger management programs.

Since 1985, Dr. Inwald has been a forensic diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology. She is among only 170 psychologists worldwide whose expertise in the field of psychology and the law is recognized by the American Psychological Association's American Board of Professional Psychology and the American Board of Forensic Psychology. During her 14 years as director of psychological research and assessment services for the New York City Department of Corrections, she was responsible for the psychological screening of more than 31,000 officer candidates.

In 1995, Inwald was invited to become a founding member of the American Board of Assessment Psychology. For her career contributions, she received the 2000 David C. McClelland Award for meritorious achievement in psychology from the New York State Psychological Association.

The author of six books and more than 200 professional presentations, Inwald is frequently consulted as an expert witness in cases involving testing issues. She received her Ph.D. from Columbia University.
