Learn more about IPAT:

When IPAT was founded in 1949 by the esteemed Dr. Raymond Cattell, his Sixteen Personality Factor (16PF®) Questionnaire was a revolutionary concept for measuring normal personality. Since then, it has become the most respected and widely used measure of adult personality in the world.

Over the last 59 years, IPAT has updated the 16PF Questionnaire, enhanced it by offering computer-generated interpretive reports suitable for a variety of applications, and published many other behavioral and ability tests. (Read more about IPAT's history...)

Today, qualified professionals use IPAT assessments and interpretive reports for employee screening, selection, and placement; management development; outplacement consulting; clinical counseling; career guidance; teamwork development; couple's counseling; and more. The narrative and score reports provide rich personality and behavioral insights to help guide more informed people decisions.

In January of 2003, OPP Limited, a UK-registered private limited company, purchased IPAT, bringing together IPAT's prestigious brands and nearly six decades of research with the comprehensive service and product expertise of OPP.

IPAT sells access to intellectual property (e.g., assessments and interpretive reports) and technology platforms that it has developed and copyrighted. This involves managing a portfolio of several thousand human resource professionals, government sector customers, and value-added resellers that utilize IPAT products and services with their own employees, individual clients, or organizational clients. We also provide training and certification services, both scheduled and customized on-site events. Through our consulting services, IPAT configures assessment solutions with reports that are designed for a client's unique needs, and scalable for future use and deployment of talent.
