Research Proposal Guidelines

1. Title of the study. Please indicate the full title of the study that will be conducted. If you are requesting IPAT materials or services for more than one study, you must complete a separate proposal for each study.
2. Name and organizational affiliation of the Primary Researcher for the study.
3. Names and organizational affiliations of all other researchers associated with the study.
4. Brief Abstract (300 words or less).
5. Main research questions to be addressed by the study.
6. Description of the study design and methodology including any experimental manipulations, procedures for assigning individuals to groups, time frames for administering instruments, instruments that will be included in the research, etc.
7. Description of the sample. Please be as specific as possible. Also be sure to include the anticipated number and sex of the research participants.
8. Administration method (e.g., individual, small groups, paper and pencil, computer, Internet, etc.).
9. Planned analyses.
10. Estimated time frame for data collection.
11. Estimated date you will submit a report to IPAT if support for the project is approved.
12. Specific assistance you are requesting from IPAT.
